Spoiler Free:

This may not have been the greatest Call of Duty campaign released, but it is a great one that surpasses the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 campaigns. This game will take you into several countries, and in several environments that alter gameplay. Gameplay feels fresh, exciting, and more realistic by pushing the power of the 8th generation consoles. Truly an amazing piece of art, that visually looks great and runs as smooth as silk. The story has a couple of twists and turn, but at a couple of points it gets a little unbelievable, but I'd imagine most people's suspension of disbelief would overlook this when it happens.

Spoiler Full:

The campaign is a very good campaign, not the greatest, but one of the best. The story revolves around Kyle Garrick (AKA: Gaz), Alex, Farah, John Price, and Hadir trying to stop a terrorist known as "the Wolf," while trying to locate some Russian gas that was stolen at the beginning of the story. Finding out that Hadir was the one who stole the gas in order to use it against the Russians (which ended up not happening due to circumstances) was a plot twist that I did not see coming, but once I looked at the evidence afterward, it all makes sense. The voice actor for John Price was a near-perfect replacement for the original, but whoever thought it would be cool to show Price shaved on-screen after rescuing Farah, they made a terrible decision, because now I can't unsee what should not have been seen. Barkov as a villain was weak, and I thought he not have much motivation for invading the fictional country, Urkistan (or whatever it was called). The one boss fight with the juggernaut, that was fun the first time fighting it, but fight it more than one, and it's boring because all it is is a bullet sponge that is slow (TIP: grab the shotgun on the wall before the boss fight with the incendiary rounds and use your flashbangs). There was one point where I almost cried because Farah's father was shot and killed by a Russian right in front of her, which makes her defend herself with sharp objects found around her home. Overall, the campaign is a great story with fun and engaging level design, and I believe it to be one of the best campaigns in the franchise.

Other Ratings:

Language: 6/10 (A few F-bombs throughout the 6-hour game, and then mild language through the rest, no sex talk in shown whatsoever)

Violence: 8/10 (A lot of shooting, gernades, tanks, typical war stuff, but is not like a shoot shoot shoot all the time game)

Blood & Gore: 3/10 (There is some blood but not quite as much as I'd expect, you can fill bodies fully of bloody bullet holes)

Controversial Content: 7/10 (There are suicidal bombers, a mission where you could kill a civilian without failing the mission, children killing assaulting adult Russians, implied child murder, cruel torture, close up killing with blood)

2019's Call of Duty multiplayer has ruined every multiplayer I have ever played except for Halo Combat Evolved. This multiplayer is my favorite to play anytime. Many people have complained about skill based match making, but I don't notice it too much. The customization of your primary and secondary weapons allow you to pick five attachments at once from a wide variety of attachments you earn, pick from over 80 skins you can earn by completing challenges, pick from many charms that you buy or earn, earn new scope aim thingys, and put a variety of stickers on them. With the customization of your weapons to the perks and equipment you bring into battle with you, you will feel like you have total control over your loadouts. The return to the kill streaks was a nice refresher after the score streaks year after year, and all of them are great except for the personal radar. The animated takedowns are awesome, and most are cool looking while some are just wacky (like finger guns). The multiplayer maps are awesome, and it is hard to say there is a bad one. There are your standard 3 lane maps, but then they have a variety of other ones that are not 3 lanes WITH multiple levels. I think that the best way to play is in a 10v10 game mode, but there is the standard 6v6 modes, and the new 50v50. 50v50 is in my opinion too big, some at times the game might feel slow for you, but what really kills it is the SNIPERS! There was a game mode that was called Warzone Rumble which was a 50v50 but the maps did not have that many buildings, it was more about nature than man made objects (again, snipers were BAD). My favorite playlist that makes a return often is Shoot House and Shipment 24/7. This playlist with the two maps and a variety of gamemodes that are 10v10 is chaotic that it is beautiful.

There is a store present where you can spend in game currency, but it is not necessary to, and it doesn't give you an edge (theoretically). You can buy skins for your operators, weapon blueprints, and other things, and some of these might give you an advantage (but not much of one) because someone might have bought a skin that works well with a map, or someone gets a blueprint with attachments that they did not unlock yet. This is all theoretical. In season 5 of Modern Warfare, there was a skin that could only be acquired by buying the battlepass, and at tier 100, you got a Roze operator skin, which was all black. So whoever is wearing this skin may be incredibly hard to see on some maps.

The biggest downside to this game is that the seasonal rewards from the battle pass are lost forever, so unless they make a new skin for Captain Price, Farah, or some of the other operators, you will never unlock some of these awesome operators. There is just so much to this multiplayer, and I can't go over everything I think about it, but I give this a perfect score. GO PLAY IT!

Other Ratings:

Language: 3/10 (Some language from some operators)

Violence: 9/10 (Lots of violence in some game modes, explosions, shooting)

Blood & Gore: 3/10 (Some dismembering of body parts, some blood from dead bodies, one operator skin with blood already on it)

The story of this game starts off after Modern Warfare's campaign. Don't ask me what the story is about, because if I'm being honest, it is hard to follow, and I was more interested in completing objectives. On all the maps, there are boxes with ammo, grenades, score streaks, and other things that you can use that is NEEDED most of the time to complete your mission. Before any of the missions at launch were patched, they were impossible to beat, and my score would be much lower for this. Each mission you play is fun and has a diverse list of things to do in each of them. They are challenging missions, but fun and either everyday or every week they offer one mission that has two variants of higher difficulty with rewards. These missions are large scale, and loads of fun. May not be perfect, but you must play the story missions.

There is also the survival mode, but it's not really special. If you were on Xbox One or PC and you couldn't play the game mode for that first year, trust me, you didn't miss out on much. It is a tacked on game mode that is more mind numbing than it is fun.
